Great news! Mitacs has increased its funding for our Industrial Postdoc Fellowship AND expanded our eligibility for our core Accelerate program.
1. The Mitacs Accelerate Industrial Postdoc is now valued at $60K per year – for up to three years – for a postdoctoral fellow. This increase in funding means more budget is available than with standard Mitacs Accelerate internships to:
• Build a longer-term collaboration with a company or not-for-profit organization
• Enable postdocs to apply their expertise to real-world problems
• Connect with a potential employer

2. We have also extended the eligibility of our flagship Accelerate program. Now college students and undergraduates can apply and it’s open to hospitals and municipalities.
• College students and undergrads can now put their talent to work with a paid internship at an organization that needs their expertise
• Those organizations now include hospitals and municipalities in addition to businesses and not-for-profit organizations
• Internships start at four months and projects can count multiple internships
